Since 2009, the clubs of the Schuylkill Navy — from Boathouse Row and beyond — have partnered with local dragon boat and canoe paddling organizations to host community-wide Discover Rowing and Paddling Days.
Organized through our outreach program, Access to Rowing and Paddling, the day gives local residents the chance to get on the water under the supervision of an experienced coach, and to experience Boathouse Row and the Schuylkill River from the perspective of the people who are on it every day.
In 2014 the program expanded to include Ergathon Philly, a 24-hour celebration of community access held under the lights of Boathouse Row.
