Learning to row as an adult with no prior experience typically happens via group or individual “Learn to Row” sessions.
Group sessions are held by a number of Schuylkill Navy clubs throughout the year. Typically, lessons include a series of lessons over a defined period of time and are best for those individuals who are able to commit to and participate in the majority of the scheduled sessions. For some, private lessons are the preferred route. For an overview of the difference between group vs private lessons, check out our FAQ’s.
After completing the Learn to Row series, many individuals often choose to explore membership at the same club; however, others choose to then explore options via “Guest Rows” at other clubs before pursuing membership at a given location.
